Once again Ed has done a fantastic job in capturing the game design process with his review of how the “Concept” comes together. When I read his blog post, I can connect with it. I find myself watching TV or reading a book and immediately get inspired by the activities that are occurring. I think his boll weevil idea has some legs (no pun intended). I am a true believer that the game starts at the theme followed by the placement of a core mechanic. On the Crab has Action Point Management at its core. Mill City has Shared Resource Management at its core. Keep them coming Ed!
